Meet The Team

Commercial:

Stephen Grimmond is the principal building certifier and director of Axis Building Certification. Stephen is licensed in Queensland and New South Wales and is a member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.

Feargal O’Cathain is a senior building certifier and has a wealth of experience with over 28 years in the construction industry as a building surveyor in both the UK and Australia. Feargal is an accredited building surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and is also a qualified access consultant.

Andrew Grimmond is a licensed building certifier working on all commercial projects. Andrew’s project experience consists of education, childcare, residential and commercial fit-outs.

Residential:

Matt Grimmond is a qualified building certifier and has been involved in the construction industry for 15 years. Matt manages all residential projects and is a member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.

Daniel Jackson is a cadet building certifier supporting the team with both domestic and commercial projects. Daniel is currently studying an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying along with a cert IV in Access Consulting.

Accounts/ Administration:

Lynne Grimmond is Axis’ business manager responsible for office and accounts management and has over 38 years’ experience working in chartered accountancy and legal firms in accounts, administration and office management.

Vanessa Barron is Axis’ office administrative support specialist. Vanessa is experienced in both administration and account management, where she holds a qualification in bookkeeping. Vanessa manages accounts and all administration matters, as well as provides support to the team.

Courtney Murden provides office administrative support to the team. Courtney has a background in consulting and client management, and her skills offer our team and clients a high level of assistance.

Axis uses quality management principles, a professional database and an electronic office system to ensure we meet our statutory requirements and our high level of client service. Axis has an experienced team of qualified building certifiers and office administration support.
